All the beaches in the area are good for rock hounding if your into that, especially Horshoe Cove on the way to Cape Dor.
West Advocate Beach offers a few miles of beach walking or combing and see the natural driftwood barrier.
The lighthouse in Spencers Island is located on a beautiful beach and where the Mary Celeste was built!

If you happen to bring an ATV with you, we offer miles & miles of marked trails for you.
Like Lobster, scallops, other seafood, well you've come to the right place for these when in season!
Sit at the Seafarers Memorial and watch the tide come and go in our beautiful harbour or watch the fishing boats either coming or going also.
Need the internet, we have a wonderful Cap Site at our library, located in the bottom of the Log Cabin right beside the campground.

And we can't forget Apple River, take a drive to the bar, no it's not a drinking bar, it's a big natural sand bar that sticks out into the harbour there, sand beach on one side and rock beach on the other.   You'll also see fishing boats here, look across to the Apple River lighthouse & you'll also see New Brunswick on the other side of the bay.
